🔎✨ Wouter Burger 🇳🇱 People will know how in depth I went about Burger in the summer - and how happy I was to see him in England, I had little doubts that his skill set wouldn’t translate in to a different league. In a season where Stoke have struggled he’s always seemed to put in good to decent performances and I’m really happy he has. He has at times played in a double pivot with Pearson but also played as a box to box and I really like the role because he has attacking attributes that can benefit the offensive side for the team. However he’s a long legged midfielder, can carry the ball, his long strides give him the best chance at getting back at opponents which he does a lot - sometimes mistimes tackles which can definitely be improved because he always seems to be in the right position to make the tackle but sometimes gets it wrong. He can play as the first receiver and can withstand pressure to a high degree, again at times can be rash with his passing but you have to take the teams style into account. I see him playing at the top level very soon, he’s a managers dream, can stick to instructions, still performs in teams that are struggling and doesn’t stop and covers so much ground, with a decent passing range and a good ball striking ability. #potters

Devlin is only just on & being a sub is not ideal but there are 3 occasions before his red card where he can do so much more with "little adjustments". The ball is with Dujon Sterling (RB): > Adjust to the Highest Central Point to support > Scan for the "Next Pass" before receiving > Explore Forward & Central Options First If you have done all that and still need to go back to where it came from, fine, do that but then re-adjust to get it forward or switched. Playing safe and being passive has contributed to the situation where he is trying to crash the box.

He looks up to the traffic like and yep, it's green for him, so he's not imagining things. He's supposed to have the right of way! So why are all those vehicles still plowing through the intersection? Are red lights optional now? Or is something else going on? What do you think? Are you surprised that there wasn't a crash?

Araujo To Liverpool Makes Sense… At Barca he suffered from being overrated - made to be a leader of the backline when he was a brutish bozo CB like a Konate… Van Dijk next to him could be a great fit as the latter can be the cerebral element of the backline and allow Araujo to focus on what he does best. That said neither is in the prime of their career so it’s a slightly washed pairing but it is complementary. Araujo To Liverpool Makes Sense… At Barca he suffered from being overrated - made to be a leader of the backline when he was a brutish bozo CB like a Konate… Van Dijk next to him could be a great fit as the latter can be the cerebral element of the backline and allow Araujo to focus on what he does best. That said neither is in the prime of their career so it’s a slightly washed pairing but it is complementary.
