🔎✨ Wouter Burger 🇳🇱 People will know how in depth I went about Burger in the summer - and how happy I was to see him in England, I had little doubts that his skill set wouldn’t translate in to a different league. In a season where Stoke have struggled he’s always seemed to put in good to decent performances and I’m really happy he has. He has at times played in a double pivot with Pearson but also played as a box to box and I really like the role because he has attacking attributes that can benefit the offensive side for the team. However he’s a long legged midfielder, can carry the ball, his long strides give him the best chance at getting back at opponents which he does a lot - sometimes mistimes tackles which can definitely be improved because he always seems to be in the right position to make the tackle but sometimes gets it wrong. He can play as the first receiver and can withstand pressure to a high degree, again at times can be rash with his passing but you have to take the teams style into account. I see him playing at the top level very soon, he’s a managers dream, can stick to instructions, still performs in teams that are struggling and doesn’t stop and covers so much ground, with a decent passing range and a good ball striking ability. #potters

This driver is legitimately confused. He sees cars and trucks entering the intersection and they keep coming. He looks up to the traffic like and yep, it's green for him, so he's not imagining things. He's supposed to have the right of way! So why are all those vehicles still plowing through the intersection? Are red lights optional now? Or is something else going on? What do you think? Are you surprised that there wasn't a crash?

He's honestly not the best dad, but he could have been worse. I still really hate him for how pathetic he was for leaving his family at their worst instead of being the man of the house. This man is a total coward. But he deserves the hate he gets. Still, he's not the worst human being possible, he's just scared, and he made horrible mistakes. You can tell how much he regrets it. He's trying to atone for his sins and be better. He's seeking forgiveness, even putting his life in danger for his blood in front of a being that could instantly kill him. Even though he's a total coward, he's still trying to protect his daughter. It makes me cry. I still hate this guy, but I also understand him. I don't know what to feel about him at this point. I know families aren't perfect, Symphogear shows how messed up things can be in families and how it affects the kids the most. It feels so real.

Jason Day was asked ahead of The Masters whether he has any empathy for what Tiger Woods is going through and he gave a brilliant answer that a lot of people can probably agree with: “So yeah, in regards to Tiger, it just shows the human element and the human side of someone that is struggling with some sort of an addiction. He's not immune to it just because he can hit a golf ball really well. He's had 25 to 30 something surgeries, and when you're going through that many procedures, it's painful coming out of those procedures. I've had procedures done and I typically try and stay away from all that stuff because I just know that -- painkillers, there can potentially be a downfall to it. “Granted, when I look at that, I look at it and go, he's just a human being like everyone else and we have struggles. It's unfortunate, the only thing that I don't understand is that it's a little bit selfish of him to drive and put other people in harm's way, as well. “But when you're the player that he was and how strong-willed he is, he thinks he can do almost anything, and that's probably why he's probably driving and a little bit under the influence. “He was my hero -- he's my hero. I somewhat get what this comment is trying to say, but this is fundamentally wrong. Players are typecast by refs. Caicedo has a certain view in refs' minds these days different from his early Chelsea or Brighton days. Why? Repetition. It's also why Rodri rarely gets carded. You build a reputation from repetition and refs (consciously or subconsciously) will follow suit). "MLS cannot be taken down unless you foul him." This notion is what has been in refs' minds for a while now since his first season. Moussa Dembele had somewhat of the same reputation. Gabriel has built this same reputation in how he wins fouls in his defensive area even when it wasn't a foul (vs Spurs is a good example). Now, this doesn't mean there will NEVER be a time when MLS is actually fouled but the ref doesn't blow it or he gets the ball taken from him (will rarely happen due to his strength and use of his arms), but the vast majority of times, it'll be to our benefit. You can't ask players to be adventurous and risky then complain when they are. Besides, shielding the ball is an INNATE part of MLS' game, it's not something he can (or should) change. He just needs to scan better to know where to position his body always, that's the only improvement he needs.
