Did you ever notice any difference between your calculations and what is reported in stock platforms like yahoo finance and tradingview? I mean why do you have to calculate it yourself?

Yes, many are calculating based on Financing approach to Invested Capital rather than looking at the Operating side. It ignores the excess cash and securities not needed for the core business; a discovery like this is the whole point to doing the calc yourself.

I was reading this article and he used almost the same formula as you. Other websites use different formulas, where did you get your formula?
