It was a bad throw. DJ wasn’t there plain and simple. You can “want” or “try” for DJ to come lower but he wasn’t and Caleb still threw it. Works out great post game and criticism wise but doesn’t work out for winning football games.

Okay, DJ wasn’t where he was supposed to be but Caleb saw the spacing wasn’t right and he threw the football anyway when he could have thrown the ball away and come back for another down.

That’s a tough one, but it’s good to hear him own it. Those moments are how young QBs learn film, accountability, and moving on to the next play.

DJ messed up on that play but he has to learn to just throw it away instead of forcing something. They only needed 10 yards to get into fg range. No need for that throw
