i wondered this as well! since they deliberately gave his evol unique effects, there must be some significance to it. i hope they give us more insight one day, it’s really interesting

i want to believe this too, and if it isn’t his emotions that affect it, maybe it’s how much gravity he’s exerting too? it’d make a lot of sense considering the times his evol looked redder—almost angrier—was when he was under a lot of stress

I used to think the orange blue colour of Caleb's evol was before he got the toring chip. But with the spring card that theory is blown. I do like the orange blue. Orange is warm, like summer which is his cn name!

The orange seems to take a red shade when his possession/anger takes over his brain

this could be the case, and it adds to how the evol appears almost more oppressive when it’s in that form with all the strong emotions brewing!

I think it has to do if he's using it to make gravity lighter or heavier. When he makes things float, it looks like a halo, softer. And when he uses it to hold sth down, it's sharper. Like water with and without current.
