If you go back to Trump's first term and even in the second term, the number of people in the inner circle, it's very volatile. People come, people go. It's kind of like a rotation. You get too close to the sun, your wings melt and you fall out. It's not the end of the free world as we know it. I actually think these two men will get back together again. I know it's salacious, it's really an interesting story, but at the end of the day they both have attributes that the other wants. Elon is a unique individual and Trump is a unique individual. They both have huge egos. They had a bad date. It's like a marriage and they're having a fight. I'm over it already. I think this is noise frankly. I don't think it really matters long-term. They can call each other on their cell phones and work it out and they will.

They don't get subsidies anymore, so they're in a lot of trouble. And the people in charge are — they don't know how to fix it, so they have to get new people in charge. If you want to, you can tear it apart like a giant onion and keep peeling it until you're at its core. "But I think that it's cool to experience it just like when I read the comic book for the first time and I didn't know. No one was telling me what it's about or the why of it. You come to it fresh. And sometimes I wish I had that experience because I would love to see the movie or read the book for the first time again because that feeling was for me awesome. "Especially when you go into something with this anticipation that it's just a Hollywood superhero movie which is what a lot of people will think because they don't know. They see some guys fighting and then when you see the film you actually have this experience of it being taken apart. "Those archetypes, those mythological shapes, whether they be Batman or Superman or any of superheroes and how they're just turned around. Whether it's through sexual fetish or fighting, actually killing guys they fight. "Stuff like that or whether it's the end of the movie and there's this moral dilemma that is the end of the movie is also challenging on all those levels."

A lot of people were affected by those wildfires, a lot of my friends, a lot of people you know lost everything. HOSTIN: Right. GOLDBERG: So this is not, you know, a ha, ha, let's do an A.I. video. This is real stuff. People -- this is people's lives. And so, before you're passing judgment, you need to be able to tell people what you have to offer, Spencer. It's some financial institution that Elizabeth Warren set up. We're not a bank, what does Meta have to do with this? They came up with some theory and were trying really hard to make it work. I don't know how this stuff works -- is it a directive? A quiet consensus? It's tough to be at the other end of that. The US Government should be defending its companies, not at the tip of the spear attacking its companies. The EU has fined the tech companies more thsn $30B over the last 10-20 years. This is a EU wide policy for how they want to deal with tech, it's kind of like a tariff. The US Government led the attacks against their companies which gave permission for the EU and other countries to go after US companies as well. I think that the American tech industry is a bright spot in the US economy, it's a strategic advantage, and it should be part of the US' strategy going forward to defend that. I am optimistic about that with Trump, I think he just wants the US to win. At least in the US we have rule of law, you get your day in court, and we usually win, but other countries don't have that. If the US wants to remain strong, the US has to have a role in defending their tech."

Do they do their patriotic duty? What do they do? I think that providing some level of amnesty for them to be able to come forward is very, very important. And then, I finally think, also, that they need to waive the non-disclosure agreements on this topic. Particularly just waive it completely for anything related to the knowledge of life that's outside, you know, non-human intelligence. I mean, I don't see why we possibly should even allow that to be a top secret thing. "And so, if there's anything that's related to that, it should be waived. I think that that's what our ask is of this administration, as well as to continue digging into the private sector. I think that a lot of this information is in the in the hands of either the...or the archives of these federally-funded research and development centers and then further some of the some of the prime subs (subcontractors) that have been working on this topic. "And so I think that it's gonna take making it clear that to our major companies that we do business with, or do business with the United States, that it's okay to come forward. And I think that we're gonna have to have a discussion if they do have - if they're reverse engineering stuff that they got because it was from non-human intelligence - we need to make sure that we can have that conversation about intellectual property, so that those are the next steps."

Sometimes...they're now inheriting things where they, where they realize, well, there's crimes involved in this. "And so, you know, they're kind of put in an awkward situation. Do they do their patriotic duty? What do they do? I think that providing some level of amnesty for them to be able to come forward is very, very important. And then, I finally think, also, that they need to waive the non-disclosure agreements on this topic. Particularly just waive it completely for anything related to the knowledge of life that's outside, you know, non-human intelligence. I mean, I don't see why we possibly should even allow that to be a top secret thing. "And so, if there's anything that's related to that, it should be waived. I think that that's what our ask is of this administration, as well as to continue digging into the private sector. I think that a lot of this information is in the in the hands of either the...or the archives of these federally-funded research and development centers and then further some of the some of the prime subs (subcontractors) that have been working on this topic. "And so I think that it's gonna take making it clear that to our major companies that we do business with, or do business with the United States, that it's okay to come forward. And I think that we're gonna have to have a discussion if they do have - if they're reverse engineering stuff that they got because it was from non-human intelligence - we need to make sure that we can have that conversation about intellectual property, so that those are the next steps."
