TikTok just released new terms of service and make all accounts agree to them. American ran them through AI, here’s the breakdown - You can't be critical of political figures - Political groups could be blacklisted. A lot of the violation could be so it's subject to interpretation, their interpretation - In matters of social unrest or crisis, they can just change the rules, shut it down completely, whatever they decide to do - You're not allowed to mention other platforms, anything misleading, even if it's a joke. Can't tell jokes anymore because somebody might be confused - You are not allowed to criticize religion - There's a ban on dangerous stunts, so no more Nicki Minaj challenges with the high heels - You're not allowed to say sexy on your live feeds - You're also not allowed to say any brand names - You can't use AI to edit something or make it more realistic - You can't do anything funny with your pet if it's staged, they can say no, that's a violation - Can't have anything to do with being too skinny. No more skinny talk. - The prevention of harm. In order to make a car drive properly, you have to solve vision. At the point at which you solve vision, you really don't need any other instruments. A careful human driver can drive with an extremely good track record. Unlike a human, the computer does not get tired, it has 360-degree surround cameras, it's got three cameras pointing forward. It's like being able to see with eyes in the back of your head. Vision is the way to go. There's some value to active optical for a wavelength that's occlusion-penetrating, so it can see through fog, or rain, or dust. Ever go to a country and find out they may have a weird custom or practice that you aren’t used to? If you go to Japan and get a phone to use or purchase, it will function like a normal phone. However even if you silence it or put it on vibrate only, when you try to take a video or a picture, the phone will still make a shutter sound. It’s against the law in Japan for manufacturers to sell a phone there that doesn’t make these sounds when using a camera. They do this so whenever people take pictures of others, the sound can alert others in case they were trying to do it in secret because they were trying to take provocative photos of women in public. Do you agree with this practice, should other countries follow suit?

They are doing something completely different. Another difference is that the human can explain, can write a book later, having become world champion, can write a book saying how I did it, as the computer program that beats the world champion can write no such book, because it has no idea how it did it. It was just following a program. I was doing this and that and that and none of that is illuminating. Also, third thing, the chess player can decide I don't want to play chess anymore, from now on I will play Go or from now on I will play tennis. The surveillance state is coming “A law passed recently by the United States Congress mandates cameras in all new passenger vehicles that assess the face of the driver, whether he's eating or yawning or who knows what he's doing, having a private conversation. Well, there are no more private conversations, even within the confines of your own vehicle” This is real and is Section 24220 of the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act The law defines “advanced drunk and impaired driving prevention technology” as a system that must do one or more of the following: (A) Passively monitor the performance of a driver to accurately identify whether that driver may be impaired, and prevent or limit the vehicle’s operation if impairment is detected. (B) Passively and accurately detect the driver’s blood alcohol concentration (at or above the legal limit), and prevent or limit operation if it exceeds that limit. (C) A combination of (A) and (B). Here’s the extremely concerning part, QUOTE “passively monitor the performance of a driver of a motor vehicle to accurately identify whether that driver may be impaired” This is mass surveillance sold to us as “safety” The law is still passed and remains in effect. It has not been repealed
