Disappointments surround us from all sides. We feel broken.. But we will definitely come back from under the rubble.. We in the north Gaza cling to the land like the roots of trees clinging to the soil. There is no wind that can uproot people who want to remain in their place. We are not just numbers.... We have a case. But there is no justice in this world.. My friends and loved ones.. Based on your advice, I decided to buy cat food and not wait. But I decided not to buy for a very long time for fear of wasting money. I also want to buy now so that I do not feel regret if a ceasefire occurs. Everyone knows that we have to buy from the black market, and unfortunately the prices are very ridiculous. So I will buy enough to last 3 months.. I will try to do my best to find food for cats, but if I cannot, the alternative option will be to use canned human food... I already have enough cat food to last until the end of December. But I want to buy it now because canned meat is available now.. I also mix bread with cat food to make it last longer...as shown in the video below I had a beautiful shelter before the war.. it was completely destroyed.. It had more than 60 cats. There are now about 25 cats left, and there are some cats nearby who find love and food, so they come to eat with the cats in the shelter. I feel like there is some kind of stagnation in my soul. I don't feel hopeless or tired, but suddenly everything became less interesting. I have to do something to wake up my soul so I can go back to how I was. I am the one who insisted on living, even if life was only room for my feet. I wonder what happened to me. I have become just a mass of flesh without a soul. I lost my passion and love for life.. My dear friends and loved ones .. This is your friend Mo from Gaza and this is an update The military operation is still continuing in northern Gaza... and there are more evacuation orders for the north and more displacement. I heard from one of the merchants that he has some cat food in Jabalia... but the area is dangerous there... Approximately he has 15 to 20 boxes Each box contains 24 cans Despite that, I said let's try to go, but we have to be careful... I went with my cousin Animal world We went to the furthest place we could reach. The picture below shows us at the Qurm Junction, and anyone who is in Gaza knows that it is the entrance to Jabalia... Unfortunately, we did not dare to approach any closer than that... We heard the sounds of explosions and saw plumes of smoke and the sounds of gunfire. Drones were flying densely over our heads. So we backed down and decided to go again today.. but the weather is very, very rainy today.. We will go again on Wednesday.. I wish we had access to cat food. It is more beneficial for them.. I will cherish this weekend forever. For some context, one of the weirdest parts about having friends in the music industry is that you can be genuinely close with someone and somehow barely ever actually get to BE with them. Everyone’s schedules are insane. Most of our friendships end up being long phone calls, random FaceTimes, or seeing each other for 20 minutes backstage before one of us has to run to a flight or the next show. So when I saw the Zedd in the Park lineup and saw Porter and Madeon were playing, I immediately texted Zedd basically like “I’ll play wherever, whenever, 5 min set, idgafos, just get the boys back together” 😂 And somehow… he actually fucking did it. I was never even supposed to be on this lineup. I’ve known these guys for 15 years now, and I don’t think people outside of what we do realize how rare a weekend like this actually is. We didn’t just cross paths backstage, take a photo and disappear. We actually got to hang out watch each other’s sets, dance, and laugh TOGETHER! And after 15 years of all of us running around the world doing this insane job, getting to have a weekend where we could actually slow down and be present for each other meant more to me than I can explain. Obviously playing the show was incredible, but getting to share it with people I love and have grown up alongside in this weird life was the part I’ll remember forever. Felt super rare. Super special. Still buzzing ❤️ Thank you Zedd for making the magic happen. I would’ve played the fucking parking lot.

Mentava’s early literacy software has taken 2yos (almost 3) to an early 2nd grade reading level in as little as 3 months. Some people think this is a miracle. I do not. If a kid can learn fast, we let them learn fast. If a kid learns slower, we let them learn slower. This should be common sense, but unfortunately it’s opposed by the National Education Association, the National Council of Teachers of English, the National Council of Teachers in Mathematics, and many other groups who drive education policy. It’s a tragic indictment of our education system that Mentava simply reveals how fast some kids can learn and people think it’s a miracle. Mentava’s early literacy software has two main ingredients: curriculum + motivation There’s nothing revolutionary about Mentava’s curriculum. Our curriculum is a typical, extremely structured phonics curriculum. There is a massive body of evidence (and common sense) backing the idea that kids should learn to read by sounding out words. Armed with any decent phonics curriculum, I would expect a skilled parent/teacher who can motivate, engage, and teach a kid 1-1 on a daily basis over a period of several months to get similar results to our software. (I frequently recommend the book Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons as a cheaper alternative to Mentava.) So why do some families choose to pay $500/month for Mentava? Well, not everyone has the time/motivation/desire to become that teacher. Some people do, and they love that process. On the other hand, some families come to Mentava and say, “I used that book to teach my first child to read. It worked, we both hated it, and I will never do it again.” By contrast, my 4yo wakes me up in the morning asking to do Mentava. He gets mad in the evenings when I don’t have time to do it with him. He LOVES learning to read. What Mentava does exceptionally well is provide motivation and fun - without sacrificing academic rigor. Our team members led some of the top mobile and AAA games in the world. We are very very good at motivation design. In short, we take phonics and gamify it to be as fun, easy, efficient, and motivating as we can possibly make it. So, claims: - Mentava works really, really well for SOME kids - Mentava probably does not work well for ALL kids - Under ideal conditions, other phonics programs will probably perform similarly to Mentava (or better!) No research study will tell you whether Mentava is the best fit for your family. So we offer a two-week free trial. That’s enough time for some families to make it most of the way through our kindergarten curriculum. Use Mentava with the kids it works for. Don't use it with kids for whom it doesn't. Don’t overcomplicate things.
