What you don't have to do anymore: • Recruit market makers • Build a matching engine • Run a risk engine • Manage bridges across chains What's left is the part your users see, the product and the experience.

The stack is now one ZKVM app settling on Ethereum L1. For an integrator that means: • One API • One settlement layer • No bridge dependencies Fewer moving parts, fewer things to monitor, fewer points of failure.

Getting a user trading takes a single call. depositToNewSubaccount() creates and funds a subaccount in one transaction. ~2 minutes later they can begin trading. No manual approvals, so it works just as well for an AI agent as for a person. SDKs are in TypeScript, Python & Rust.

Some products that fit well on V3: → Yield vaults running options strategies → Structured products with fixed payoffs → Mobile-first options trading → Agent-driven trading strategies → Prediction markets and binaries → Fixed-rate and lending products

Wallets and Neobanks are a big one. Most of their users will never open an options chain and shouldn't need to. A single button like "earn on idle ETH" or "set a price floor" can run an options position underneath, priced and settled by Derive integrated into front-ends.

On economics: Builders routing flow through Derive earn up to 50% of the trading fees they generate. You can also set your own fee on top, so the product can pay for itself from day one.

Where to start? 1. Read the docs 2. Pick an SDK 3. Create a subaccount on testnet 4. Route your first order with your builder code
