Busy streets, noise, dust, constant movement; it can overwhelm you at first. But that’s only one layer of it. Because after 15 years of coming back again and again, what you start to notice is what sits underneath: the colour of the markets, the rhythm of daily life, the way strangers treat you like you belong, even when you don’t speak the language. It’s not something that fades after one trip; it’s what keeps pulling you back. There’s an energy here that doesn’t translate through headlines or quick clips. It’s not polished or quiet, it’s alive. Messy at times, yes, but deeply human. Like anywhere, it has its problems. But reducing it to a single word misses everything that makes it what it is.

This went from a beach sting… to something way more serious. Three days ago, she got stung by a jellyfish, painful, but she thought it would pass. But instead of healing… it’s getting worse. Her face is swelling, the skin looks irritated, and now it’s not just discomfort. it’s concerning. So she heads to the ER, realizing this isn’t something you just “wait out.” Because sometimes what seems minor… doesn’t stay that way. When your body keeps getting worse instead of better, that’s not something to ignore, it’s a warning sign. Would you have gone to the ER sooner… or waited it out like she did? What would YOU do in that situation?
