Dolly just dropped the most polite mic drop in country music history: “That’s God’s job.” If your faith needs a full-time HR department for other people’s lives, you might be doing it backwards.
She sang gospel, built a library, and loved without limits and still got called out by the self-righteous.
Dolly has always had a way of making serious points sound simple and human.
Dolly’s message is a good reminder that compassion matters more than judging people. Her words still resonate today.
you can’t preach love while making a career out of judging people. Faith was never supposed to be an excuse to police someone else’s life.
She was not one in a million. More like one in 100 million.

The irony is that judgement often becomes louder than compassion. You don’t have to agree with someone choices to treat them with dignity
But we must not forget that God has already judged specific behaviors. She is not saying and never said that people should show partiality in sharing the truth of what God has already judged. But that the Bible tells us to mind our own business, while still being both salt and light to others. Everyone is still responsible for their own sins, and relationship with God, and with being a good steward of their life opportunities.
The bible does not say, 'not to judge.' It makes it clear there are consequences if you do. Matthew 7:1–5 (Sermon on the Mount) King James Version (KJV) --- - "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again." - New International Version (NIV) --- “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Gospels call for right judgment. John 7:24: “Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.” The warning is against hypocritical, condemning judgment, not against all moral discernment.
It’s interesting that Dolly Parton & Tim Curry died on the same day & this message of Dolly’s and the message of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” are very similar. Be who you are & don’t judge anyone else.
I love it when Dolly asked White people during the Black Lives Matter movement “do you think your skinny behind is all that matters?”
It is possible for one to disagree with the lifestyle choice and still love the human and soul. Judgment is God's domain, and it is a trap of the devil that many humans, including some who call themselves Christians, fall into.
