I wrote the Stop and Go drill in “The Golf Digest Book of Drills” book. I was also the head professional at Sleepy Hollow where Cameron grew up—his father was the head professional after me. Coincidence. I taught the stop and go drill too many Tour professionals.

Charles Barkley was ahead of his time

I pause so much I change club mid swing

I thought i was the only one who did this

Better than Charles Barkley...

I tried it and made a mess of it, didn’t even know where the ball went. So, be careful when you follow some swings from the TV. CY is great at it!

ouch - i feel my left knee crunching !

My five year old this am with his pause drill.

Of all the lessons I’ve seen from tour players and coaches emphasizing various techniques and specific moments in the swing process …. I have to say next to the basic principles…. Grip, stance, alignment, swing plane….. this one is most important…!! When I’ve played my best the feeling of my body shifting weight properly and timely before I drop the boom and power through the ball is the most important swing movement of all….!!👍🏌️♀️⛳️
