Five guns were found on or near school campuses in Albuquerque on Wednesday. Two students at West Mesa High School are facing charges and are in juvenile detention. The student in the video allegedly had a gun in his book bag, and another student at the school reportedly had a gun in his waistband. On the same day, two students at Albuquerque High School also brought guns on campus. According to police, there was a similar incident at Del Norte High School, where police detained a girl and her boyfriend. They also had a gun. POV of what led to Fairfield High School, Officer Bianca Brown allegedly used excessive force against student Maurice Williams. According to Fairfield police, a school resource officer responded to a "physical altercation involving multiple students on campus" just after 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Police say a high school student was fighting a school official who was trying to break up the fight. According to Fairfield police, the officer then saw another student trying to retrieve an item from a backpack during the fight - which the officer believed was a weapon. The officer then confiscated two backpacks. Police say the officer then escorted one of the students involved in the fight to a campus office. They say a large group followed the pair, including other students "who were actively trying to fight the student the officer had detained." After the student had been taken to the office, police say the officer tried to approach a second student who was trying to fight. The student refused to listen, according to police, and went back to a large group, where more students were fighting. The officer then tried to detain the second student, police said, but they tried to pull away. At this point, other police officers had arrived at the school to help with the response. Police say the student then hit the officer, which prompted the officer to perform what they called a "takedown technique" and place the student on the ground. As the officer tried to place the student in handcuffs, the student resisted, police said. In the press release shared Thursday, police detailed what happened before the officer placed the student in handcuffs. "The second student placed his hands over his head and covered his face. An officer grabbed his wrist and tried to place his hand behind his back. The second student tensed his arms, and the officer was unable to overcome his resistance," Fairfield police said. "The officer administered a distraction strike to the second student's hands. The officer tried again to pull his arm behind his back but was still not able to overcome his resistance." After additional "distraction strikes," police arrested the student. Jose Antonio Ibarra, 26, who is not a US citizen, has been charged with malice murder, felony murder, false imprisonment, kidnapping and other charges in the murder of 22-year-old Laken Riley, police announced at a press conference Friday night. Riley’s roommate called campus police after Riley went for a jog that morning at the university’s intramural fields and never returned. Her body was found a short time later in a wooded area. She was unconscious and had “visible injuries” when officers found her, the University of Georgia Police Department said. At the press conference, the police chief said Riley died of blunt force trauma. ❗️BREAKING ❗️Today I've been going to prepoll asking politicians about their position on abortion. Things escalated quickly when Labor MP Nat Cook didn't even let me get my question out and started yelling, "Call the police" and "I'm being harassed". As an elected representative asking for our vote and being paid over $200k by the taxpayer, Nat Cook should be able to answer a question about her position against two recent bills seeking to ban late term abortion. Minutes after she shouted for the police, a police car with two police officers arrived at the scene and I was told they would arrest me unless I left. How absolutely appalling that Labor can abuse their powers and get the police to do their dirty work when they don't want to answer a tough question. My 15 year old daughter Laura had a pupil free day and so she came along to film me. She couldn't believe what happened. I think she learned more in this one day about the police state we live in, than she could in the classroom. Make no mistake: Labor is authoritarian and anti-free speech. They support full term abortion and refuse to answer any question about why. Put Labor & the Greens last and put One Nation first. ❗️BREAKING ❗️Today I've been going to prepoll asking politicians about their position on abortion. Things escalated quickly when Labor MP Nat Cook didn't even let me get my question out and started yelling, "Call the police" and "I'm being harassed". As an elected representative asking for our vote and being paid over $200k by the taxpayer, Nat Cook should be able to answer a question about her position against two recent bills seeking to ban late term abortion. Minutes after she shouted for the police, a police car with two police officers arrived at the scene and I was told they would arrest me unless I left. How absolutely appalling that Labor can abuse their powers and get the police to do their dirty work when they don't want to answer a tough question. My 15 year old daughter Laura had a pupil free day and so she came along to film me. She couldn't believe what happened. I think she learned more in this one day about the police state we live in, than she could in the classroom. Make no mistake: Labor is authoritarian and anti-free speech. They support full term abortion and refuse to answer any question about why. Put Labor & the Greens last and put One Nation first.
