Because they're looking for someone to mother. The females of all mammalian species have a very strong, natural instinct to mother. Most women will go through 3 stages: Stage 1 is the alpha stage. This happens at sexual maturity (~16yrs old). She'll go after the highschool QB type, the jock, the guy with a car, etc. Historically, she'd then get married and pregnant and transition naturally to Stage 2: the mothering stage. But because women don't get pregnant early anymore, and they usually break up with their HS boyfriend in college, their biology becomes confused. A 22 year old woman with no children doesn't lose her natural instinct to mother, she'll just start mothering a man - the quintessential asshole, liar, manipulator, etc., that the woman in the video is talking about. He's the most interesting to her because he scratches both itches - the sexual/companionship one, and the mothering one. If one of these asshole guys gets her pregnant, she'll immediately enter Stage 3 and start looking for a provider male. She won't be interested in asshole guys anymore because she has a real child to mother now. You can see millions of single mothers wandering around in Stage 3, finally ready to settle down with a guy who can actually provide for her and help take care of her family.

Love is learned. If a woman wasn’t shown protective, sacrificial masculinity growing up, she will mistake intensity for love. If male attention felt rare, intense male focus feels exciting. If provision was inconsistent, unpredictability feels normal not a red flag. If protection was absent, dominance and control feels like strength. You can’t crave what you’ve never experienced. And if she did have a good father? Then lust dressed up as love won’t impress her. Because she already knows what love looks like. Everyone can have a good father in God.

My more nuance to response is that a woman seeks a strong caveman to protect her this worked in caveman times, but in modern times that means a total degenerate, whereas a responsible person works in modern times it’s a clash with our ancient evolutionary biology.
