Can Catholics have tattoos??

This is from the American Ecclesiastical Review published in the 1920s.

Leviticus 19:28, You shall not make gashes in your flesh for the dead, or incise any marks on yourselves.”

I’m starting to think Fr.Ripperger may not be singing from a full hymn book. This was a shot at Fr.Mike Schmitz.

I have tattoos and would not get them again. I’m going to look up this decommissioning prayer.

I did not know this. I knew demonic influence can enter through playing with black magic and qoiji boards ( not sure if I’m spelling that right ) but didn’t know about tattoos but I’d trust an exorcist to know.

When I fell away from my faith, I got tattoos. That didn’t stop Our Lord from calling me back to him. As a prodigal daughter, my tattoos were no barrier for His forgiveness. I see what Fr. is saying, but never forget that Jesus Christ never gives up on us. ✝️
