Not to be a complete Ella Fella, but I think the song is a little more deep than how great Texas is. It’s a heartbreak song about how he’s choosing to stay in Texas with another girl than go back to Tennessee with her. That’s why it’s working.

She writes and sings like an old school classic country singer which is so rare now. We love it.
