Can Kaspa Beat Fartcoin?

Hi @mattkratter , you encourage everyone to buy Bitcoin and put it on cold storage to avoid using 3rd parties. But at the same time, Bitcin is not able to scale and so depends on 3rd parties like the lightning or liquid network. My understanding is that Kaspa solves this problem by enabling fast and scalable payments on the base layer.

Lightning Network is not a 3rd party-- anyone can open up a payment channel with anyone else. You can't do everything "on-chain" or even using a blockdag. Money is meant to scale in layers

Hey Matt, so I’ve done my best to hear both sides objectively . My main argument against someone completely abandoning Bitcoin to completely go into Kaspa has been that a lot of the “shortcomings” (for lack of a better term) of Bitcoin are not big enough for people to care enough to make a switch to a different crypto altogether. I go with the assumption that even if Kaspa does have better technology, the likelihood of it overcoming Bitcoin’s rate of adoption is near 0. However, as you pointed out the whole deal with the security budget, you essentially said that if it’s a problem for BTC, it’s even worse for Kaspa. Putting that aside, what would you say about the security budget for Bitcoin alone, is it something to worry about?

Funny stuff , just want to point out that both kaspa and litecoin I send instantly and the fees are so small they are not really noticeable … In what world would slower transactions and higher fees be considered better ?

KAS and LTC have low fees because there is very little demand for their blockspace. LTC and KAS are actually much slower than BTC:
