Two things: 1. The first runner should have told the trail runner to slide. 2. This is clearly obstruction by the catcher. Is this an old video before rule changes?

1. 1st runner never touches the plate. (Should have someone communicating that to catcher, after second runner is out) 2. 1st runner doesn’t communicate anything beyond the hand wave while coming home. 3. 2nd runner shouldn’t back off the gas, be a the 1st runner is already there

Catcher interference for both runners. Both safe IMO. If runners can’t blow up the catcher, he simply can’t stand in the way before he has the ball.

Where’s the on-deck batter? Plus the umpire clearly doesn’t know the rules about the catcher not being allowed to block the plate without the ball
