NLC WANTS ABURE REMOVED AS LP CHAIRMAN The Nigeria Labour Congress has grounded activities at the national headquarters of the Labour Party demanding the immediate removal of the party’s national chairman, Julius Abure over what they describe as contempt for the leadership of the labour union. The NLC describes Abure as a political coup plotter who became chairman of the party illegally and wants him removed. The party chairman was not available at the Secretariat and he is yet to issue a statement on the picketing of the Labour Party Secretariat or accusations laid against him.
