Can pilots chime in here…. What’s going on?

I am a pilot. “Short approach” certainly does NOT mean, “turning when you are abeam the numbers.” The controller here is incorrect.

You should know your job inside out, especially if lives are at risk, if I was her boss and I heard I googled it, she would be gone that day.
