Can still remember the first time seeing Hard Boiled and having it turn my brain into shit

THIS! All day, every day! Amazing filmmaking!

John Woo had the best gun play. This and The Killer are top tier. Only Equilibrium and The Matrix come close for Western cinema. Too bad John Woo could not capture this magic in Hollywood.

Boss Tanaka 😃

Chow Yun Fat with the pump shotgun is about the coolest thing ever.

"Give a guy a gun, he thinks he's Superman. Give him two and he thinks he's God."

By the end of the movie it instantly became my favourite action film.

Masterpiece

By some strange chain of events, I had never had a chance to watch this film. Tonight I fixed that. What a ride!

@VinnyGorge When Chow Yun Fat slides across the floor with both pistols blazing it makes me want try it in my kitchen.

I think it's wild and bullshit that Chow never had to reload once during this entire shootout, but it's Chow, John and Hard-Boiled so I'm good with it. 😉👍

the OG John Wick

My eyes were glued to the screen during the action scenes

Great movie! Gargoyle Like Chow Yun Fat in Hard Boiled -Styles P

I love the guy that's dressed up as Bruce Lee (that's actually a reference to Jackie Chan in real life)

Okk this just looks like mindless action?

gun-kata, all day, errday

Watched John Woo's latest film, Silent Night... It was just awful. Man, we used to have it all.

It's so good. And that single take shootout in the hospital?

My best scene:

best opening scene oat

The only problem w/this scene was that the young Jun Kunimura (playing Uzi-totting assassin) wasn't being recognized by many......

why would you say it like that?

Unlimited ammo. Every magazine would be 10 feet long minimum.

Always wondered why you had shit for brains

matrix also surely took inspiration from this

Nobody: John Woo after filming:......peak
