Huge congrats on paper! @JoelChan86 @RobertHaisfield I have a question for you, but to get there I need to unpack my observations a bit: You define sensemaking as a process of developing a schema. And schema as one's understanding of the domain. The workflows participants describe are roughly fit into 2 categories: 1. Conventional note/reference management system Which is definitely helpful in the process of sensemaking, but I would hesitate to characterize it as Augmented sensemaking. It only indirectly influences the schema. It's more like Augmented Information Management. 2. Sensemaking system. Working with questions/hypothesis/claims/. Creating "incubators" and active agents that help to explore connections between things. Obviously 2 categories are interconnected. One thing I notice about many participants: Most of their sensemaking happens inside notes. Their "distillation/incubation" process itself is not strongly augmented by the tool. The tool's prime purpose is information storage/retrieval. So my question: Is this a valid observation? Or am I missing something? This second category is way more interesting for me, and it's the focus of my research. Again, categories are connected. But for me, augmented sensemaking implies deeper integration between the tool and the thought process. The tool embeds the domain schema and provides a backbone for the whole research project. It helps us to see/apply knowledge structures and draw meaningful connections between concepts. At the end of the article, you mention grounded theory, So, I see the sensemaking environment as an infrastructure for grounded theory. I have attached the article where I describe my take on augmented sensemaking with a full case study. Okay, so the question evolved into a pretty big reply🙂 Curious to hear you thoughts!

@RobertHaisfield Thanks for engaging! 1. I think you're spot on about the note types being more tightly integrated with sensemaking proper (in that they instantiate parts of the overall evolving schema).

You get a better deal today, at least at a particular latency, using OpenAI's models than Kimi. We distill our own models. That’s how we make smaller, cheaper models. That’s a very good thing to do. There will clearly be an important place for open source models in the world and people that will want their own weights. We have so much usage of our models that we do not need to be a gigantically high-margin business to be able to afford model training. I would rather people not distill from us, for sure. AI agents won’t scale just by hype — they need infra that verifies, supports, and scales with them. MONSTERS ARE REAL IN A GALGO'S WORLD😡 We call on you again for another emergency. How could someone shoot this girl in the back at close range? Yep shot then left 😡There are areas in Spain we can't even describe how bad it is for the galgos. Our Neuro vet is excellent as you know, we’d never put a dog thru it if we didn't think she could have a quality of life but we think she can if shes operated on ASAP. We need to remove a pellet from her spine but first she needs a mylograpohy to establish how deep it is. Could you help us again? Just a few £$or€ can help us operate & get her walking again, we have high hopes that she can do it❤️

So I don’t know if it’s necessarily that we are in a post–rules-based order. I think it’s possible that we were in a pre–rules-based order. And we have an opportunity to explore what the world would look like if we upheld democracy, human rights, and trade that actually centers working-class people instead of overwhelmingly accruing the benefits of trade to the wealthiest. If we reoriented toward a new era, it could actually help people — and show how foreign policy, and healthy foreign policy, can show up in their lives and make a difference.

In these recent days we have been wondering about our future, we made some appeal for help with no responso, so we feel that people have lost interest in our mission , and unfortunately with our reserves we are preparing to close everything in January more or less , and for two days we have been evaluating the idea of saying that this mission no longer makes sense to exist because we don't feel supported, as if the war ended has given us life resources, but it is not like that, we have only stopped dying from bombs, but the hundreds of mouths are still here asking for care, food, vaccines, etc. but today this Syrian / Spanish boy called us asking for help for a dog... and by helping him and the dog we realized how important our presence in Syria is, that this mission cannot stop now, we hope that in many of you this mission has this effect of wanting to go forward and believe in it as it did in us. We need to reach our goal for November if you can help us 🙏
