When I hear this complaint in western society, I often wonder what it is that people want to say but are actually *forbidden* from saying? People seem to struggle when I ask for specific examples.

@GretchenlbB Love me some Rowan Atkinson. This wonderful speech didn’t make a dent. The last thing I saw him in was Maigret, a detective drama. He’d apparently given up his wonderful brand of comedy not to fall afoul of the very problem he’s explaining here.

Mr. Bean as PM would be a huge win.

He would despise everything u people stand for. This is a 12 year old speech. He is absolutely not calling for people to be allowed to spread racist lies and propaganda. Nor is he endorsing the propagation of misinformation in order to create conflict and violence
