How do they let this roll through the inspection checkpoints?

Whether this is a foreign driver/Company or an American driver/Company they should be pulled off the road. The Company for allowing this unsafe garbage on our roads around our families and the driver for agreeing to it. Let me see some crap like this, I’ll call DOT on the spot on them and use my truck to block theirs so they can’t go anywhere.

Every weight station needs to be doing safety inspections on every truck

Impound that Truck Immediately and arrest the Driver for operating an unsafe vehicle, Period.

I would have pulled all of his valve stems on the spot and told him to get rekt.

This should be a high priority and these companies hiring them should be fined and put out of business.

Every single company that allows this should lose their license and be responsible for all damages.

If by "these people," you mean trucking companies that operate local fleets of trucks that could never pass inspection, then, yes. I was fired for refusing to operate a truck that did not pass a commercial vehicle pre-trip inspection. This is 90% on owners, not just drivers...

Life is cheap in America now. They can import thousands for every American that dies due to their migrants.

Call the highway patrol and ticket the driver and fine the company. Don't let that trailer move until tires are replaced. This is such crap.

I think these trucking companies cut costs by hiring immigrants to work overtime, and they skimp on things like tires whenever they can. I bet they also use the cheapest options for basic vehicle maintenance. Shouldn't the local companies be the ones held accountable for this?

Put that truck out of service. Slicks. Terrible. When I started at Knight, I had a trailer with slicks. I called; they wanted me to haul it 1,000 miles to their shop for tire replacement. I stopped at the first tire shop, and they installed six virgin rubber tires. Do it right.

Those have gone from "IF" they'll blow out, to "WHEN" they'll blow out. What kind of shipping company would send a driver out with tires THAT bald? A shady one that's cooking it's log books and tax records, that what.

The entire trucking industry is to blame for this! The entire trucking industry. Absolute greed has taken over the trucking industry, hence, anything goes. When trucking was UNIONIZED, this was not tolerated nor acceptable, by companies or drivers. Trucking was NOT like this back in the 1960's or 1970's. If you were a truck driver back then; you were respected. Elementary kids were in awe of who's dad or mom, was a truck driver. Drivers were looked up to like firefighters & the Police, & now that's gone by the wayside too. I remember those days well. Trucking companies think NOTHING about the drivers anymore; they're a dime a dozen, just like trucking jobs: a dime a dozen. What's needed? I don't know honestly. Maybe, a "Trucking Evangelist" who has a 'consortium' and comes to City to host a National Event to speak to Trucking companies on how to turn driver morale and the trucking industry around. I'm afraid that until there's a national 'collapse' in the driver recruiting world of Trucking; nothing will change. Nothing brings change like PAIN.

Show the name of the company and report them before they kill somebody

In India they drive until see sparks appear in mirror indicating there no tire left.

If this were a sedan, or pick up truck, or especially a motorcycle, the shop would have REFUSED to give the vehicle back out of safety. But a semi? Nope, this shit is why our roads are past dangerous.

They have been falsifying their inspections. Using mechanic and shop information but the truck was never seen by that mechanic or shop.
