This was ruled Riley Greene reaching on a fielder's choice with the runner Kevin McGonigle safe at second on the error (and he eventually went to third). This is scored correctly, as this is an ordinary effort play by the second baseman Andrew Velazquez, who just has to catch an easy bouncing grounder and step on second. Yo Jaylen Brown y'all needed to win by 23 so the final 8 minutes were clutch time tonight... U lead by 30 and almost blew it (won by 24) because of b2b plays like this. We all know u never pass to Tatum, but this outrageous man! He was too open to not hit him.. especially the second one. Do u even see the play, or are u too panicked in clutch time to look for the guy? There's no need to throw up wild forced shots, ever. U got lucky the first one went in btw. Crazy fucking take when u had wide open teammates all over the perimeter. Kick it out!

No we didn’t lose the game off this But can we talk about how bad this call was? Batters foot is a GOOD ways out of the box and it hits him, but he gets the free base. This 100% should’ve been ruled as the batter being out. You cannot step out of the box.

This ends up being a mental error in not making the proper play, and Bohm’s throw to first was on target, just late. He only looked at second, so it can’t be a fielder’s choice, and since he fielded the ball cleanly and was accurate to first, the only thing this can be is a hit. #BlueJays50 #RingTheBell
