Wouldn’t filling the gaps that tight cause the floor to heave if it swells at all?

A huge improvement, but why didn’t you stain the fillets of new wood to age them?

All that effort and not filling the nail holes and divots around the knots !🥺

Shouldn't you leave gaps in the flooring because of wood expansion?

The pine is sub-floor

Will the floor distort if it gets wet? There should be a bit of give in the floor

It looks like the same soft wood subfloor that it is. It was never meant to be the finished flooring and it's too soft to be worth a dam at handling foot traffic.

Cool project, the camera man needs to be taken out behind the chemical sheds though…..

Great outcome! Looks superb! Well done!

I would never caulk the floor planks in an old house. I would fasten the floor boards to the joist as good as can be and leave it at that.

Floor looks excellent but would have said to get the walls done first!

I would not have filled the gaps

Just hope your wife's friend doesn't visit and walk around on it in high heels

Been there, done that! Dusty as hell though.

should be darker stain

Bravo.

Beautiful job!

Look at that gorgeous character in the wood!

Interesting… I assumed there needed to be gaps to allow for expansion or contraction of the timbers in in hot or cold times of the year.

Well done. Looks beautiful. It’s not a “one off” folks he does this everyday. Keep up the great work.

Why does it look like 4" pine in the initial, but more like 6" pine in the after?

I wonder what it would've looked like with slightly burning the surface before laquer

Please wear a mask. I didn't see one.

Beautiful, but I’d have used Matt varnish

Coolest vid ever. ❤️ Great job. Beautiful!

Beautiful!

That was some gorgeous work! Put that in your advertising. You deserve plenty of business.

Yup; looks lovely. What did the people living below think of the whole process...and their future?

After Decades of sparkies and plumbers, most floors are unusable.

No. That is beautiful!!

Awesome. Beautiful floors Tks to you

Unbelievable! So glad for them they did this to restore and keep the original floor.

Forgot to do the corners ☹️
