These people are well trained, well equipped and well paid. We expect world class infra and pay 150-250 per day and a 60ml tetra pack to our construction workers. All of us have seen those workers men and women carrying bricks and mortar with their kids in a hut nearby.

Pros of Indian roads: 1. Doesn't last long generating employment and opportunity for bribery. Helps the gdp. 2. Helps with digestion of your last meal. Since our food is generally oily and spicy, the roads help a lot. 3. Astronaut training infra for future manned missions.

My friend in India told this, his state government constructs good roads, low curruption state, one national highway central government constructed, heavy rains come, entire road gone!, branches to state constructed roads are still good, to national highway!😂

well, our GDP is 7.8% with beautiful potholes, unlimited trash everywhere. Most of the common citizens can't even raise the voice because politicians will target them best example is Pune case. Our politicians never care of providing best Infrastructure and services.

Potholes are the gravy trains for politicians, babus, and contractors. India is still a few generations away from seeing roads like Japan's.

If Japanese companies can do our metro rail , they can do our roads as well. Hire them and make them to do transfer of technology as well .👍

How can the politicians, contractors, local IAS make money if there is so much good mixing of tar, aggregate is done? In India they make the road in 10% of allotted budget, loot the rest. After first rain, the next tender is advertised. The clawn show goes on. Bloody corrupts.

There is a famous road in pune made by a company called recondo. The company never got a contract again because the road did not get a single pothole in decades.

To be honest if I were a contractor, I would loot every opportunity I can so that my future generation could leave this country.
