The Chinook wasn't properly secured to the ground to allow for dampening ground resonance from the vibration when it is running. Typically, oleo struts on the landing gear prevents this (which were removed).

Tie down chains are too tight amplifying the natural resonance of the aircraft. Happen on flight decks a lot if you're not careful.

I will chime in. It is called harmonic vibration, with the ground, maybe initially, or within the craft itself that can destroy the entire thing.

Ground resonance testing. Easiest way to stop it is to pull power and go light on the wheels or pick up into a hover.
