You earn a high salary. You are smart. You think this means you should pick your own stocks. You are wrong. The skill that makes you rich in your profession is not the skill that makes you rich in the markets. Let me help resolve your dilemma - mutual fund or stocks? • Time Fallacy Rajiv Thakkar makes a brilliant point. If you earn 50 lakhs or 1 crore a year your time has a specific hourly rate. Spending 20 hours a week analysing balance sheets to beat the index by 2 % is a loss making activity. You are effectively working for minimum wage in your second job as a fund manager. • Information Asymmetry You are competing against machines and teams of analysts who track businesses 24x7. They know the management. You may read a quarterly report 3 days after it is published. • Psychological Cost Direct stock picking requires an iron stomach. Can you handle a 40 % drawdown in your portfolio while also have an argument with your boss at work. Most professionals panic sell at the bottom because they cannot manage the stress of two high pressure environments simultaneously. • Here is why I although a professional but still invest directly in stocks :- • Investing is like hobby to me • I enjoy reading annual reports on a Sunday afternoon (and it doesn’t feel like work). • I enjoy finance & human psychology books. • I understand valuations • I have seen bear markets and know I can handle them • I believe in compounding and understand that impact of even a 1% expense ratio on my portfolio over the long term • I can keep emotions away while investing - I don’t have FOMO seeing my old stock become a multibagger. Neither do I panic to see a stock down by 40% in my portfolio (infact Network 18 is a part of my portfolio and down by 40% right now) If you can’t stick to what I’ve mentioned above, you should know the mutual fund advantage:- A good mutual fund buys you leverage. You are hiring a specialised team for a fraction of the cost. They handle the volatility. They handle the rebalancing. You focus on your career where your primary cash flow is generated. Let the compounding happen in the background. And you can focus your mental energy on increasing your professional income. That is the highest ROI activity you can do.

Hate me or love me, but your office and my office are different. This is just the truth so I’m going to say it. You work from a cubicle. I’m working from a boat, sitting in a hot tub, watching a seaplane fly over me. You’re working to build someone else’s dream. I’m working to build my own. You have to worry about the next meeting, the next email, the next task someone gives you. I have businesses willing to sponsor me on 𝕏 for a single post and pay me amounts that many people have to work months for. And this didn’t happen overnight. I spent years building my own brand, my own audience, and my own businesses. But that’s the difference between spending your life building someone else’s dream and spending it building your own. You have to wait for your shift to end to go home and spend time with your kids. My kids are right next to me. We’re working together, learning together, using Grok, asking questions, and experiencing life together. You count down the hours until you can leave work. You count down the days until the weekend. You count down the years until retirement. I don’t want to spend the best years of my life waiting until 65 to finally start living. I’d rather be dead, for real. I’m living right now. And that’s what people don’t understand about freedom. It’s not about owning the biggest house, the nicest watch, or the most expensive car. None of that shit really matters when you actually get it. It’s about owning your time. It’s about being able to work from anywhere. It’s about being present with your kids while they’re still kids. It’s about looking up when a seaplane flies over you instead of being too busy staring at the clock waiting for your shift to end. Technology like Starlink made this kind of life possible for me. I can be in the middle of the water and still work, build, learn, create, make $ money, and stay connected to the entire world. My office has no walls. My income isn’t decided by a boss. My schedule doesn’t need anyone’s approval. My kids don’t have to wait until I get home to spend time with me. And I don’t have to wait until I’m 65 to start living. We are not the same.

Mental Health Check-In for today… Sorry I fell off from doing these for a while gang but I’m back to walk this walk together with you. People often ask me what’s something I do when I am REALLLLLY struggling, stuck in the gray what’s the best weapon I use to fight back. Power of connection! I call 2 people and tell them I’m struggling. I completely open up to them, am very vulnerable and tell them how bad it is between my ears. That’s my way of leaning into my TEAMMATES! I talk a lot about the power of TEAM. But then, just as important, I call 2 other people and don’t tell them I’m struggling but instead I just check up on THEM!! That’s my way of “Being Of Service” - another huge tool or pillar of mine I can use to fight back. By being of service it’s my way of fighting back my terrible self talk. When you make those last two calls, they always appreciate you caring. While 80 even 90 percent of the time they say they are fine… that other 10 percent, it is powerful!! That 10 percent often says that call came at the right time. They needed a call like that. One particular call, a few weeks later, my friend told me, “Remember when you called me to check up on me? Well, you don’t know this, but you saved my life that day. I wasn’t thinking right and I was planning on taking my life. That call saved me!” WOWWWW!!! Lean into your teammates gang!!! We all gotta build one big badass team together to fight back. Love yall #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #depression #anxiety #team
