Can you hear the difference between cheap and expensive pianos? He started the video by playing in a cheap piano, and then in the more expensive ones. He played 5 different pianos. Can you hear any difference in sound? Which one has the best sound? ๐นVinheteiro

The $31k Yamaha was sweet spot, and the Yamaha $8k Upright was nice too.

The sound of this one was so above the othersโฆ

The Yamahas sound the fullest and most lyrical to me, across the board. Even the cheapest one sounds great! But I know very little about pianos.

There is no such thing as a cheap piano. Music is a gift. Even on a "cheap" piano.

Vietnam account, using this guy's real vids for engagement farming

What I learned is that Yamaha makes the best pianos.

Yamaha has really nailed the sound to me. All of them sounded better than any of the others, IMO.

Surprised how lovely the Yamahas are. I have a 35 year Steinway and though it's brightened a lot over the years, it's a still very sweetly toned piano. A well built, good quality piano is very noticeable:-)

No Steinway?

The upright Yamaha was the biggest leap. After that, improvements were minor.

I thought the sound improved significantly when you reached the $8,000 Yamaha Upright. No need to spend more unless youโre an aficionado.

I thought the second piano sounded better than the third.....

The first one sounds like the pianos in Cowboy movie saloons.

I liked the Yamaha upright the best, then the Yamaha baby grand, based on the recordings.

I loved the 4th one โฆ it hauntingly held the notes over key stroke to key stroke! Just beautiful โค๏ธโค๏ธ

Yes. Are there people out there who canโt tell the difference between a red upright and a Yamaha grand piano? Even between the red upright and the Stuttgart upright I can. The tone is richer and richer the better the piano. The final one is just exquisite.

As a complete non-musical guru that $600 one sounded great

Yamaha upright has a great sound. Obviously the action is important to the performer to bring out their best also the recording set up :).

There is no competition without a Steinway.

Pleyel or the Yamaha C2 - great video ! We are lucky to have a fully reconditioned 1915 (Rosewood) Steinway (o series) and when itโs played you somehow feel and hear the depth and age.

Yeahhhh, the first few pianos werenโt in tune though. Not really a fair assessment. Any Japanese Yamaha will sound better than anything other than a Steinway too- even if theyโre out of tune.

Me over here loving the Pleyel Grand, and also wondering why tf any handbag would be $17k, Chanel or no.

Bruh even the $600 one feels far more satisfying after listening to the one with a sushi level price tag

As a piano player, I prefer unique crisp high tones with a characteristic mid range and slightly buzzy lows. For my money Pleyel 100%

The Barthol and Berlin sounds rich and buttery.

Price? There's a reason the older ones sound better! It comes down to two things: 1. Aged Wood: The 100-year-old old-growth wood has dried and crystallized, making it way more resonant than anything modern. 2. Handmade Artistry: A 1928 Pleyel wasn't made on a factory assembly line. Master craftsmen spent weeks hand-voicing the hammers for that warm, poetic tone. Modern ones just sound sterile by comparison.

imo the 2nd - Berthol and Berlin - from 1915 for 600$ is absolutely fine..

I was so happy to see so many Yamaha's in here. I had a Yamaha grand growing up and the clarity in the low registers was unparalleled.

I can hear the difference from the $40 vs the $600 vs the $1,200, but they all sounded the same after $6K, except for the ridiculous trap producer piano ๐คทโโ๏ธ

The $600 one was more pleasant to listen to than any of the other ones. The very high priced ones the high pitches were physically painful to listen to, but their lower tones were warmer and felt better. Why are the high priced ones so painful to listen to?

Can I get that 80 ft yacht for $ 289k? I donโt know how to play piano anyway..

For the price Iโd have to go with the 2nd or 4th option.

Several are lovely. I would need 3 types based on the music intended to play. Do you play campy western, euro classical or Asian. They each have a different feel to me. Some are crisp and short, others long and drawn out. Some are bouncy. The creator had a vision. The music represents it.

Mhhh, no Bechstein and no Boesendorfer๐ฅน
