Turtle (terrapin) was the go to restaurant food during the 1700s in the Americas. It was still really popular in the 1800s, but fell out of favor when turtles/terrapins got scarce. Wild terrapins are starting to make a comeback.

If reincarnation is real it’s a form of punishment & your destination is the Asian region. Nothing is safe in that part of the world as far as food consumption is concerned, they’d eat each other…and probably do we just don’t know 😂
