It's a lie. The arrow only travels in a clockwise direction. I have just lost 5 minutes of my life trying to reverse the direction....

It's not a lie. You can actually see it moving clockwise, although counterclockwise is easier.

How can you view the blue as the outside when it gets hidden by the yellow ?

I could only see it spinning clockwise for the longest then all of sudden I kinda looked into the dark space and not focus on the arrrow and it flipped to spinning counter clockwise and now I can’t get it to go back to clock wise with

It took 5 minutes before I could switch it. My brain interprets the darkest part as being furthest away. I had to use will power to dispel that idea.

I immediately saw the arrow as counter clockwise bc having the inside be dark blue makes more sense as I’d imagine light would hit the outside of the arrow making it yellow.

I know easy way. For clockwise. Focus at the lower part of the ring. Use yr finger to cover the top part of the image. Convince yr mind that blue is the OUTER part of the ring. Prepare to see blue arrow moving from right to left.

I have seen it spin both ways.

It starts counter clockwise, I can make it go on the clockwise direction mentally but not back to counter clockwise. Only when I look away for a bit it goes counter clockwise again.

Just look at it long enough. No need to imagine anything.

Turn the phone upside down! You will see! If not turn it again and again you will see it then 😉

It definitely works. The trick of imagining you’re looking down upon the arrow. Immediately worked for me.
