These are stormtroopers. It is basically canon that they can hit anything :)

The stormtrooper aim at least makes sense. It's during traversal, and if it was actual aiming that intended to hit, being in a moment with limited movement and being unable to dodge would just be frustrating to get killed and being unable to do anything to do about it.

In Star Wars, it makes sense because it's an inside joke that Stormtroopers can't hit a target. So they incorporated that joke into the game, and it turned out really cool, lol.

I'm sure the developers made those stormtroopers miss their shots on purpose.
