Before Alabama took control of the SEC, it was very strong conference with every team competing for the SEC title. Florida and LSU were going back and forth. Auburn was in the mix, Georgia was there too. SEC as a whole was A STRONG FORCE! Alabama destroyed all of that.

College Football 27 I finally simulated Florida winning the National Title with 88 over all team. I did it once as a 99 team. But that was crazy Florida blew everyone out by 30 points. Hell the title game was 50 plus point blow out.

I'm going to tell hard truth Nick Saban Alabama didn't help the SEC it destroyed it. Alabama being dominate didn't make the SEC strong it weaken it to the point of where it is today. Just like FSU used to dominate the ACC it destroyed the ACC.

SEC in 2006 was the lowest it's been in National Media and around College Football. Big Ten, USC, Notre Dame, and Big XII was the best SEC was seen as after thought. Everything changed when a Florida team that limped its way through the SEC schedule beat down the best OSU 41-14

The worst thing to ever happen to the SEC was Nick Saban becoming the head coach of Alabama. Florida would have won 2 straight National Titles 2008-2009, Not only that Auburn still would have won in 2010, 2011 LSU, 2012 Georgia, you see how the league itself would be great.
