Canada Prime Minister: We Knew The Story Of The International Rules-Based Order Was False In his special address at the 2026 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, Canada Prime Minister Mark Carney, shed light on a truth that every world leader knows but many pretend not to: powerful countries do not and have never cared about “international law”. Of course, this uncharacteristic honesty on the part of a Western leader is not indicative of some sudden change of heart on the part of the Global North’s leadership, but is simply a sign of the times. The United States, stretched thin by decades of dominating the world through terror and chaos… is finally turning on its own Western allies to survive.
