I am a Canadian and I served in the Canadian military for 15 years before being medically released in 2014 after being injured in Afghanistan. I love Canada, and was willing to die serving this great country. There are several different factors that have eroded that love for this once great nation. The first and probably chief problem is taxation without representation. As this video said, Albertans pay the most per person in taxes going to the federal government. Of that money, Albertans pay has never received transfer payments and that includes the period when trudeau alienated the oil companies and we begged for help. On that note, oil is a consideration in taxation and income. Ontario hydro, which makes a lot of money for that province is not factored in. Yet during an election if Ontario and Quebec vote for one party, even if every single other province voted the other way. The party Ontario and Quebec voted for would win the election. Last election they called the vote less than 30 minutes after the polls closed in BC. Next, Alberta is forced to sell our oil to 1 market and since there is no competition the price is low. The next problem is taxes, Canadians pay some of the highest taxes yet we have very little to show for this. Which leads into the next issue of immigration. Canada has brought in 7 million immigrants and “refugees” in the last 12 years. This has shifted the makeup of this country, since the majority of those people refuse to integrate into our cultural identity. There are many areas of life affected by this issue, but the majority are negative effects to the natural born population. We have gone from a very high trust society to a very low trust society in a decade. Another issue is that seniors who lived and worked in this country are barely getting by, including living on the streets or sleeping in coffee shops while fake asylum seekers live the high life on the backs of tax payers. During the trucker convoy we saw that the government can just pause the charter of rights and freedoms when it is expedient for them. They break the law and get away with it. Yet they have also started to become even more authoritarian in how they treat the very citizens they are meant to serve. People being jailed for words they wrote on the internet. This country is very broken and Albertans are tired of being the source of income for the rest of the provinces. There are so many more issues I could talk about but this is a good starting list of the reasons why Albertans want to leave this third world dictatorship.

Alberta would make a great US state. Quebec would be a steaming turd in the punch bowl.

70% of population live below the 49th parallel and dictate how the rest of Canada is governed. It’s fundamentally flawed and the citizenry of the productive provinces have had enough.

Dear Albertans: do it. You will have a $500 billion credit from a great ally! At worst, you can be a US Territory like Peurto Rico and still be part of the American economy. Sincerely, a fourth generation Idahoan and Native American who loves AMERICA 🇺🇸

If rural voters are disenfranchised by the majority of Marxists in the big cities, why shouldn’t rural voters start thinking of secession from a country that HATES them?

T'as oublié de mentionner que le référendum de 95 a été manipulé! Le Québec, sans l'intervention illégal des libéraux d'Ottawa, aurait dû devenir un Pays. L'étude qui démontre ce vole a été enterré et l'est toujours.

@Gerry39464526 It’s not just that we feel we’re giving more than we get. It’s that Canada is making laws to infringe on free speech and other rights, importing millions of migrants from the 3rd world, making laws against Christianity, taking our guns, and becoming a woke dystopia.

Forced migration is now out of control and voting is not the way out. This is pushed by the globalists / royals that use Canada as a resource colony. Taxes. Will Canada look like it does in 10 years? No. If resistance doesn’t happen, Canada will continue to be furthered into cognitive engineered death. Canadas MAID program has already killed more than all the wars combined. The feds pay the First Nations to hire white lawyers to fight any development that doesn’t have kickbacks and fraud attached to it. Canada is disarmed, drugged, censored from truth…..what’s next? Any resistance will be disabled by either jail for thinking wrong or committed. It’s already happening.

The same exact scenario happened in Eastern Kentucky when Obama was elected. Our energy production was cancelled, no industry came to replace it, and we became a siphon for federal assistance that allowed healthcare funds to be embezzled. I fear the same will happen to Albertans unless they break away soon.

From Canada. You are bang on. In addition, the multi culturalism forced on canada has created pockets of different groups in regions. It ms only a matter of time before canada breaks apart further or devolves into civil war.

Once the governments start trampling on your freedoms and rights like the trucker convoy in Canada like the Biden administration forcing social media platforms to ban half the country because of our political affiliation. These are the times when shit really just flips.

Ultimate solution would be them being their own country. Honestly, I think that Alberta for over 100 years has been more aligned with America than Canada like people say is the Texas of the north if for some reason, they are not able to get full independence I don’t see anything wrong with America helping them out with that.

If anyone lives in those two Providence’s. Just know this. From an American. We do care about you. Now our left does not. They don’t even care about their own country. But the real Americans are rooting for you. 250 year ago we did the same thing. So can you.
