I used to think 'Surely they know all of this already.' But it needs to be said over and over again, explicitly, using unequivocal language. Canada's science funding framework excludes people from marginalized communities from becoming scientists. @JustinTrudeau @cafreeland

@cafreeland And prevent well-known universities who drag international students here, make them miserable and take advantage of their vulnerable legal status and push them to leave whatever they sacrifices too much for and paused their whole life for it, with empty hands...

@cafreeland Thank you. Thank you. Though, I am not familiar with the Canadian context, everything you said is precisely the case in the UK today (or probably worse!). It is a huge problem and it is a global issue.
