The PWHL is proud to support Nursey Night, an initiative led by Sarah Nurse presented by Rogers & in support of Black Girl Hockey Club! 🫶 Starting February 16th, they'll be bringing girls from the Black Girl Hockey Club community to select PWHL Toronto home and away games to cheer on the team and hang out with Nurse after the game. Celebrating 12 Years of Brotherhood and Service to humanity. The Buccaneers Confraternity, aka Brothers Across Nigeria, Nsukka Chapter, is proud to celebrate its 12th anniversary! This milestone marks a remarkable journey of brotherhood, service, and commitment to our community. It was a Night of Celebration, Reglection, Joy, Camaraderie and Recognition as we enjoyed a delightful dinner and awarded members who have exemplified the values of the Buccaneers Confraternity. Their dedication and leadership inspire us all. We also gave back to the Community with our CSR Initiative which is a testament to the fact that the Buccaneers Confraternity is not just about brotherhood; it's also about serving the community we call home. As part of our celebrations, we partnered with the Nsukka Police Division in a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. This collaboration strengthens our commitment to a safer and more secure environment for all. As we look forward to a Brighter Future, we are grateful for the past 12 years and excited for the future. We're seeing so much crime, so much instability — It affects every other community across the country, but the crime and instability, the first people that has to deal with that, Black people — name any city that has a majority Black population. It's aggressive to live there” He says as soon as a black person is doing well for themselves, the first thing they want to do is leave black areas “And the Black people who are doing well, guess what they do? They have to leave the community. They have to walk away from the community because they cannot exist in this unstable and chaotic environment” People want to live in a calm, peaceful and respectful environment. It comes down to people acting right, following the rules and not being aggressive

The award was presented to her by Secretary Marco Rubio and First Lady Melania Trump , in recognition of her significant work in raising awareness of the use of sexual violence as a tool of war.
