🚨 Ford’s deadly 401 speed gamble While big rigs continue to kill and injure Ontarians, Premier Ford is increasing speed limits along major highways. On July 11, 2026, a clear afternoon on the eastbound 401 near Townline Road in Cambridge turned deadly. Nine vehicles collided in a massive pile-up. A 44-year-old man from Kitchener was airlifted but ultimately succumbed to his injuries, and fifteen others were injured. All eastbound lanes were closed for ten hours. A transport truck driver was arrested for dangerous driving and later released pending investigation. More and more, this is no longer an isolated tragedy on North America’s largest – and Ontario’s busiest – highway. While transport trucks make up roughly 3% of vehicles on the road, they are involved in 12% of fatal crashes. At least that’s what Auditor General Shelley Spence said in her May report, which detailed just how dangerous and inadequate commercial truck driver training has become in the province. The report detailed how private career colleges were skipping required hours, cutting programs from the mandated 103.5 hours down to as little as 59 or 81, in some cases. Cop gets caught lying in real time. Tried moving the goal posts to justify his actions. We are in Midland Texas where Midland Police Department Officer Gill pulls the driver over under the absolute certainty that he saw the driver holding a phone in his hand. The driver immediately points to his dashboard, showing the phone is securely mounted. Left with nowhere to hide, Officer Gill is forced to admit his mistake on camera, stating, "I stand corrected." Under the Fourth Amendment, once the officer realizes the initial reason for the stop was invalid, the driver should be free to go. Instead, Officer Gill pivots immediately. Determined to salvage the stop and force the driver to identify, he suddenly claims the driver was speeding. When the driver presses him for proof—asking if he was clocked on radar or paced—Officer Gill admits he has no data. Instead, he claims he "visually estimated" that the truck was going exactly "10% over the speed limit." Mind you, the officer was parked at a complete standstill. The driver calls out the absurdity, pointing out that his speed was a cautious 16 mph in a 20/25 (30 was the confirmed limit) mph zone. Recognizing that the officer is fishing, the driver firmly refuses to hand over his driver's license. I will say that while the Midland police did a terrible job due to their lack of understanding of the law, I have seen these types of situations get much worse. People with serious economic interests think that the price of oil is going down because Trump tweets out that he’s near a framework of a deal, and then two hours later he’s backtracking? This is what he does all the time. Even when he was in the private sector, in the business world, and people thought he was such a genius, the guy went bankrupt multiple times because he has no real interest in meeting his obligations. He doesn’t pay workers and never follows through on his commitments.

This car was cut off by this red car which entered a roundabout and was getting in the highway. When he honked, the red car slammed on its’ brakes and in his opinion, it made him have to jump the curb/median to avoid running into the the back of the red car. The red car speeds away and the driver who has his girlfriend and his dogs in the car decides to follow him. He calls the police and tells them he is following the red car. He has his license plate number by this time. A couple of times he speeds up next to the red car and yells that the police are coming. Is this what you would do? Who was the real road rager here? Many people said the driver with the dash cam is to blame or at the least just as much to blame. What do you think? Would you have followed the red car like this with your girlfriend and dogs in the car? Do you think both of them were road ragers? Or do you think the dash cam car was justified in following like he did?

And these people are far more “compliant” than “domestics” given the prospect of losing one’s job likely means a trip back home. Meanwhile, temporary foreign workers see this opportunity as a means to become permanent residents and eventually full-fledged citizens. It might be win-win for corporations and temporary foreign workers. But it is a losing proposition for taxpaying Canadian citizens who want to work. People are not amused. A recent Abacus Data poll indicates that 44% of Canadians want to see the temporary foreign worker program scrapped given the high unemployment rate — especially among young people. While traveling on a road trip to deliver two work trucks, these drivers were pulled over by the Nevada Highway Patrol for allegedly speeding. This truck driver is crocked. He does not even recognize his boss. Scary to think he was climbing in that truck getting ready to drive it. This wild bodycam footage out of the Palmetto Police Department in Florida shows the absolute dismantling of a commercial truck driver’s career in real-time. Officers were on the lot of Philadelphia-based Inox Cargo Inc., officers quickly realized the driver was in no condition to be behind the wheel of an 80,000-pound rig as he was exiting the rig. When asked point-blank by the officer if he was intoxicated, the driver didn't even try to hide it—just gave a casual, slurry "Yeah." But the real kicker happens when the officer points to a man standing right outside the cab. "You know this gentleman here?" The driver stares blankly, completely failing to recognize his own boss. The officer has to spell it out for him: "He owns the truck. That's your boss."
