She explained how Charlie began using two microphones (his usual handheld + a wireless Rode mic clipped to his shirt) during his Fall 2024 tour — something he hadn’t done before. The theory, originally put forward by X user John Bray, suggests that the small wireless Rode microphone was rigged with a shaped charge (likely PETN). Unlike a regular explosion that would go in all directions, a shaped charge is designed to direct the blast in one specific direction — functioning almost like a bullet. Candace noted that if this was the case, the explosion was likely intended to hit Charlie in the chest. The fact that it hit his neck instead may have been a miscalculation or malfunction.
