Nvidia just made its biggest acquisition ever... A small startup. On Christmas Eve. While everyone was distracted. The startup is Groq. They make AI chips that run faster than Nvidia's. They have 90%+ market share. All of big tech depends on them. So why would they pay 3X for a tiny competitor? Let me explain: Groq was building inference chips that threatened Nvidia's monopoly. Faster processing. Lower costs. Better architecture. If Groq succeeded, they'd crack open the market. So Nvidia did what monopolies always do: bought them before they became a threat. 🇺🇦 An M114A1 155mm towed howitzer seen in Ukrainian service during the training of artillery crews. The video was posted to Telegram by Ukraine's Operational Command "West". Last year Greece sold 72 of these guns to Czech private companies, which then likely sold them on to Ukraine. The M114A1 is a variant of the WW2-era M114 that changes the original carriage for that of the M1A2 155mm towed howitzer. Several uploads of the video mention that this gun and crew belong to the 5th Assault Brigade, which is part of Operational Command "West". Source in the replies.
