You should delete your CLAUDE․md/AGENTS․md file. I have a study to prove it.

He keeps saying central casting because that’s exactly what it is. They’re not leaders, they’re characters.

Tested: Windows 11’s ‘faster’ File Explorer (preloaded) is still slower than Windows 10. On a 4GB RAM test machine, File Explorer used ~32.4MB of RAM without preloading. After turning on preloading, Windows quietly adds ~35MB more. So Explorer now sits at ~67.4MB in memory before you even open it. 35MB isn’t a big deal in 2025. Your browser eats that for breakfast. That's not the point of my testing. Why is the preloaded File Explorer still slower than Windows 10? I made a video to compare the two versions.

Had to install Windows XP (with an emulator app for MacOS called UTM) so I could install Ulead Cool 3D to generate a 3D .GIF for pieter dot com First create an .ISO of the Ulead Cool 3D install, because Windows XP on UTM networking is broken Then after making the .GIF I had to build a HTTP-only file upload page because XP doesn't support modern HTTPS, to get the file out to R2 But it works :D

"delete your claude.md file, delete your skills, and delete your hooks. Then see what the model does. It might surprise you." - Claude Code creator at Anthropic Boris Cherny ( Boris Cherny ) "For people who aren’t building agentic products but are using Claude Code, every 6 months, delete your claude.md file, delete your skills, and delete your hooks. Then see what the model does. It might surprise you. For Opus 5, we strongly recommend trying to delete all of these things because the model may no longer need the extensive instructions that were necessary for previous models." - at Y Combinator Startup School 2026. ---- From "Y Combinator" YouTube channel, (full video link in comment)
