this song is what made Dangerous for me. they brought back the deep cuts that had been gone since OTW/Triumph. And they were hits anyway LOL

Exactly! “Can’t Let Her Get Away” has that same infectious, groove-heavy energy as those earlier deep cuts, but with Teddy Riley’s new jack swing production bringing it into the ’90s. The bassline, percussion, vocal layering, and Michael’s delivery are EVERYTHING. This could’ve easily been a single.

If I remember correctly this was on Meteor Man soundtrack (it was played at the beginning of the movie). If I also remember correctly that despite radio stations playing it frequently Michael refused to release it as a single. And it’s a shame because it’s a damn good song.

You remembered correctly! “Can’t Let Her Get Away” was featured in The Meteor Man (1993), although it wasn’t included on the official soundtrack album. I haven’t seen confirmation that Michael personally refused to release it as a single, but I absolutely agree it deserved one. Teddy Riley’s production was incredible!
