This was one of the first songs that was written for the album with Jackson Phillips, who produced a lot of it. At the start, candidly, I'd just write and see what intuitively would come out. I wrote the first verse on my birthday. One of my best friends gave me a painting and it said "Sun behind the sun." I thought that was beautiful, so I based the whole verse around that. We had a few versions of that song in particular and it was missing a part for me. One day, I sat outside and the whole chorus came to me. It became like the conversations that you still have after someone or something has passed. It becomes a form of communicating still. As I get older, it goes all the way back to square one simplicity for me. What do I love? Who do I love? What do I cherish? Who do I cherish? It's that simple for me. This is I Wanted To Stay #ORDERchaosORDER

Was farming first encounter of ghosts to get the helmet I was missing (yeah I know it sucked) and I noticed that there are actually A LOT of details and stuff I just never bothered to notice in these play spaces. For example. Did you you know you can actually SEE Ahsa in this area before dropping down into the methane ocean for the first time? It honestly wants me to go back through all the dungeons in the game and take proper time to look through all the stuff in the world. Is that something you guys would be interested in?

I went to junior hockey a year too early. It was the hardest year of my life. Thank God I have a great family that supported me through the tough moments. But here’s the thing… My family always told me the truth and never let me make excuses. Even though we may have made the wrong decision rushing the process, the message from my parents was always to be the best teammate I could be, work through the tough stuff, and I’ll be better for it on the other side. In today’s landscape where kids are trying to get to the next level as fast as possible instead of at the right time, there will be many kids in my shoes. So for all the families out there that may be in that situation with their kid… Don’t make excuses for them. Don’t tell them it’s not fair and they’re getting screwed. Help them to look in the mirror, control what they can control, and focus on getting better and earning what they get. If my family made excuses for me or blamed other people, I would not have made it. I’m thankful for the tough moments and my parents helped me understand it was a part of the process.

Let me be honest with you for a second. After yesterday’s post on other social media platforms , a few people slid into my DMs asking why I take public transport. Why I’m on a trotro. Why I don’t drive. And I sat with that for a moment. Because here’s what people don’t see behind the camera journalism, real journalism, public interest journalism, is not glamorous. The fact that you see my face on a screen doesn’t make me a celebrity. It doesn’t make me wealthy. It makes me someone who showed up to do a job that matters. I take trotro. I stand at bus stops before the sun is up. I travel across this country for stories that need to be told. And I do it without a filter, without pretending my life looks different from what it is. This is my real life. And I’m not ashamed of a single part of it. Being on camera was never about status. It was always about the story
