Canyon heightmap (same source). It's a 4K heightmap, so I had to (bilinear) upscale to 8K. My tech only supports 8K heightmaps. My planar predictor makes the 8K map compress to only 14MB. The mountain map was 30MB.

I connected GPT-4 to my car 🚗 The extra context (8k vs 4k) is very useful for complex use cases - can’t wait to play around with 32k! Greg Brockman

The gun allegedly stuffed down Tyler Robinson's pants can't be seen in 4k or 8k resolution, only 7k. (Note: gun outline not to scale, but it doesn't matter in 7k)

It turns out I can use my procedural volumes to draw anything, including surfaces. Did a quick experiment with a water. I haven't had time to do FFT or proper geometry yet, so I'm using heightmap raymarching and waves from some cool shadertoy.

The most I’ve been on my feet in one day… possibly ever 😅 So much STANDING. Was there for over 7 hours, on my feet for at least 6 of those… and only managed to walk 8K steps while I was there 😂 It was such a blessing to meet so many cool people. If we take a photo this weekend and decide to post it, feel free to tag me! For the sake of my journey, I’m genuinely grateful that I decided to go on this trip. It was worth it. #weightlossjourney #weightloss #motivation #fitness #fatloss

Working on room scan streaming for the Lasertag game: headsets build a shared heightmap of the playspace collaboratively in the background. Quest's depth estimation is only good up to ~5 meters, so this lets people fight at greater distances
