Biggest release we've ever shipped. A redesigned editor, 3D scenes, Studio Sound, camera cutouts, and a native GPUI app in preview. Blog post:

This is a very nice update indeed. Thanks for the hard work 🫶

Agent skills for all of this?

Sheesh! Congrats! 🎊

holy cook

God dayum

OK this is insane.. Wonder if this vid was created in cap 🤔

Cap looks good here

THE BEST APP EVER

huuuge!

seems like cap is back, i'll try it

Looks amazing! Congrats.

audio is fire

Great! Congrats!🎊

we love cap

fuck yeah

was this vibe edited lmao

Finally!!!!

What I need from Cap is the ability to edit two screen designs into one. Imagine you want to show users a desktop version and a phone version by screen recording both, opening another editor, and editing them together.

This one feels like the Loom killer

great vid

damn

@richiemcilroy Wow how’d you make this video

this is crazyyy release

Been watching Cap evolve and the UX keeps getting sharper. Having a snappy open source alternative to Loom that doesn't bog down the machine is such a breath of fresh air. Solid milestone with v0.6.

hey @grok which are alternatives, compare pros and cons, btw i am willing to pay the desktop 29$ just wonder for market resreach, also how works with agent-browser of vercel labs and other stuff, with @RiversidedotFM and etc... verify for me and create image as well. and expplain in ascii emojies flows.

Can we ask for a license code please

The repo still lists apps/desktop as Tauri v2 with a SolidStart UI, so how far does the GPUI preview go: the whole webview shell, or just the recorder window with the editor staying on Solid for now?

Impressed with the pace of this project. Open source proving once again it can compete head to head with the paid tools 👏

open source is a plus

the linux support is pushing me away from windows day by day

Are there any deal breakers with gpui on macos?

Hell yeah! 🫡
