i've gave capcom enough of my money. 3 years without meaningful content beyond the first year is insane. I'll be voting with my wallet and say no.

They made it free in the battle hub, which is the best possible pivot/compromise based on their contract. First come first serve basis with no commentary. I will be queued in the battle hub. If it fails, I’m sure next year will be different.

It is better, but I am still never going to pay to watch Capcom cup. Pretty much every single other esports and major event like the world cup are free to watch, because it helps grow those scenes. Capcom needs to stop killing their own growth here.

People who pay to watch fighting game tournaments… do you realize you’re slowly killing the game? We are already a niche community,If everything becomes paywalled, new players simply won’t come. The goal should be accessibility, not closing the door on potential players.

In Brazil, 2 days of Capcom Cup cost the same as two months of a Netflix or HBO subscription. They could just sell an in-game battle pass with a skin, a title, and access to the pay-per-view content. That would be far more fair and interesting.

Absolute DISGRACE from start. Fans followed all season tournaments for “free” ($500+ to buy all in-game content) now have to pay just to watch the finale?! co-streaming is how lots of ppl watch finals. Point is to sell game copies not nickel & diming with this dumb idea. Unreal

This is a good middle ground for everyone. $10 is not bad for the price and co-streaming is allowed as well as watching the finals in the Battle Hub is free

I’m not watching this with no commentary in the battle hub and I’m not paying for something that used to be free. Especially when you don’t use any of the money we’ve already given you to actually update the game or release costumes. 👎

@StreetFighter Sucks paying for PPV tickets to watch a tournament, but $10 USD is a lot fairer. I'm not entirely sure how the Battle Hub stream works. Do you still have to buy a ticket, or is it free because you're in the game? What are the permissions for streamers watching the Finals via BH?

Capcom Cup is an AD for the game, people would not pay for an ad... i like the tournament for the people in chat and dumb stuff happening in pools, finals with the same nerds trying to look cool are cringe, make your tournament i don´t care.

Why only 1 special color though with that price? We got alot special colors previous year for free.

from grassroots to a JAIL CELL. I wont be watching your capcom cup 12 instead of jumping through ridiculous hoops I will simply choose not to even watch your finals at all. I will use eventhubs to see who won and give you ZERO viewership whatsoever until you make it free forever.
