He made this legendary pledge before fighting in the 1999 Kargil War, where he laid down his life leading his troops to capture enemy positions at Khalubar. For his unmatched courage and leadership, he was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest military honor.

He was only 21 when he deployed to Kabul with the Parachute Regiment. Today, we remember Private Joe Barry and the sacrifice he made far from home. 🇬🇧

On September 11, 2001, PAPD Officer David Lim secured his K9 partner Sirius in his kennel beneath the South Tower, believing it was the safest place for him while he went to help others. Before leaving, he told Sirius, “I’ll be back for you.” 💔🐾 Sirius never made it out. The yellow Lab was the only police dog killed in the World Trade Center attacks. He was more than a K9. He was a partner, a protector, and a faithful friend. Twenty five years later, we still remember Sirius and honor his service and sacrifice. ❤️🐾🙏

Om 23 January Subhash Chandra Bose was born, he didn’t ask for freedom politely he demanded it with fire in his heart! When the world chose silence, he chose sacrifice, Netaji didn’t just dream of an independent India he was ready to burn for it 🔥
