Frankly, I tried to have conversations with the selectors, but I got no response. As a player, I can’t control that. What I can do is keep playing red-ball cricket, enjoying the game, and giving my best. I just love Test cricket ,that passion keeps me going. Nasser Hussain🗣️: When you led that legendary 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy comeback after 36-all-out in Adelaide, what was the dressing room like, and how was Rishabh Pant to manage? Ajinkya Rahane🗣️: Adelaide was completely quiet. Everyone was down. But Ravi Shastri’s energy was amazingly positive ,he told us, 'Don't think about cricket for two days, just chill. From Melbourne, we go again.' As for Rishabh Pant, in Brisbane, whenever we tried sending a message to him, he did the exact opposite! So we decided, 'Better not send any message, just let him play his own way!' And he delivered something truly special. Michael Atherton🗣️: How do you view Shubman Gill’s captaincy so far? Ajinkya Rahane🗣️: I'm always a very frank guy. I think Shubman still has a long way to go ,he is still learning the nuances of Test cricket.
