My dad did this once to me at my body shop. We were working on the driver's side of a Mercedes, and on the passenger side there was a dent close to something in the shop. It looked like the car could have possibly hit the passenger door when it was pulled in because it lined up. I got in a fight with my dad and told him that when I first saw the lady pull up, I thought that’s what she wanted to get fixed, so I knew it was there 1000%. He still blamed me and made me fix it. What do you think the first thing the lady said when she pulled up? "OMG thank you so much, you fixed that dent that I put in the passenger door that my husband always brings up, saying I can’t drive." She was super happy and thought we were just fixing random $1000 dents for free. She ended up sending her entire family to us for years, so I really couldn’t complain too much, but my dad was buying coffee for a few months just on principle.

Detailers should be required to take before and after pictures to protect themselves and prevent anyone from lying. It’s what we do at our job

I was waiting in front of a car dealer. The entrance of showroom was a bit higher. Deliverance guy stopped, went in. The car rolled down the small high right into the Side of a brand new car. On the other Side off the car 2 happy clients and a seller with a bouquet flowers! 😢😢
