Car driver HONKS at every small intersection, still crashes. HONKING is useless, it has lost its intended meaning of communicating danger. Stop HONKING!

Zero Knowledge about ongoing traffic vs Merge Traffic, Giveway rule. Daily I'm getting BP due to these kind of bikers entering into merging roads. Ps: I'm also a biker

I'm sure in future the stress from driving on our roads will kill more people than crashes.

Easily could have been avoided. Narrow street, don't go beyond 20.. slow your car for every small junction excepting a person. Always assume for a stop sign in the junction. Have patience, you are already in luxury way of communication. Be a kind driver.

That’s the level of 3rd world Infrastructure India has, along with massive Drivers License Scams by Indian RTO.

How would you have prevented it, it looks like a unavoidable accident.

Profilbild von Reclaim Chennai streets

There is no way to prevent it, i would have just not honked at every turn. Crashes happen despite our best efforts, both were driving at acceptable speeds for that road, insurance exists for this reason.

@MogulPaniRaj What a stupid take. Try to go without honking in a road like this you will end up hitting someone in every intersection.

@reclaimchennai @MogulPaniRaj I think he just hates honking. Even if you honk for Valid reasons, he will still call you out! His intentions are good, but arguments are bad

Profilbild von The Dude

@reclaimchennai @MogulPaniRaj Yes honking is so useful. Leave accidents, honking will help alert large vehicles approaching an intersection and help both vehicles to avoid looking at eachother in a narrow road creating a traffic jam. OP asks for zero honking. That's just makes zero sense.

@iam_exwoke @MogulPaniRaj HONKING is so useful that road crash deaths keep climbing year after year and TN has been number 1 in road crash deaths for the past 4 years. Only people who HONK are those who don't know how to drive and no amount of HONKING will save them

Bikers always like this, to avoid this we have to slow down in merge sections.

@TopDriverIndia People need to use common sense and need to stop at every intersection especially if you are coming to join a major road from a by lane.

Even dogs will stop and look before merging on the road. Chennai roads have highly dangerous risks like potholes, invisible speed breakers, massive air pollution, wrong-side driving, mobile using while driving.

Problem is with first generation vehicle owners, who never know how to respond to a honk, like that slum dweller on the bike.

HONKING is not USELESS, late honking is USELESS This guy should have honked few seconds before giving the biker time to react.

You should always honk but with honking you should also slow down. You are making such a ridiculous statement over one incident where the rider ignored the horn.

Two wheeler rider fault. He sped on a road hump, habitual offender. That said, TN motorists have very poor obstacle and situational awareness. Thats why so many people get killed on the roads there for silliest reasons.

Too much focused on honking and less on road awareness. These idiots honk so others can hear and give way to them not to signal/communicate their presence.

Without honking high chances of small vehicles crashing into cars. sad but we have to honk for the safety of careless pedestrians and mobile drivers.

19 km/h seems a bit too much in that extremely narrow gully. Perhaps it's a regular route and hence a sense of familiarity leading to over speeding? Also notice the biker, as soon as he sees the car target fixation kicks in. The handlebar instinctively turns towards the car!
